Happy Halloween 2014

I don't usually celebrate any holiday except for my birthday. Birthdays are REAL holidays. You don't share those with anyone else you know, usually. YOU are the star of the show.

Other holidays are too commercialized for me. Halloween too, but not as bad.

But I want to wish anyone who goes all out for holidays a Happy Halloween.

*throws glitter*

I am giving out candy and chips.

Chips, Now & Laters, and bite-sized snickers. I will ruin some child's teeth for sure tonight.

I went looking for full sized candy bars, but I would have to buy a box of 48 bars. It is not going down like that. I only have 10-15 children come through. What the world will I do with a couple dozen of left over full sized snicker bars? I will not be bringing those to work. No way. Negroes who really don't like me would be up in my face, cheesing at my desk. Nope.

The local Whole Foods have... interesting pumpkins.

Interesting.  Heirloom fruits and vegetables are pretty popular. But these look diseased.  A regular pumpkin would do just fine. Thank you very much.

One of my cubicle mates Lady S is always up for holiday decorations at her desk.

I was very much mesmerized by the witch ink pen in front of the Easter Basket.

I joke with her, whispering "I'm gonna put a nice bible verse up here on your desk."

She usually has a voodoo doll. Not this year. So I will save my bible verse for next year.

The folks at work, in the building next to mine, like to decorate.

They put their shredded paper in a pumpkin plastic waste bag.
Someone even built a scarecrow.

He has on a workplace lab coat. That reminds me to order new ones.

And here's a display at the local mexican restaurant near the job...

He looks a little sad or tired.

And that's how I feel and look after a long hard day at work... minus the liquor and cigarette and the sombrero.

LOL

Anyway, if you are out and about this holiday weekend, be safe... on purpose.

The Official LadyLee Halloween Post

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you!

*ladylee throws glitter and skeletons*

No I am not THAT happy about Halloween. But I am just assuming that YOU are.

I am not going to halloween parties or anything like that. I haven't gone trick-or-treating since my early teens. I may hand out candy.

But to celebrate, I have some official 2013 LadyLee Halloween paraphanelia, gear, and songs.

So let's check it out:

Official Halloween Picture

That was on the wall at my sister Kentucky's favorite mexican eatery.

The place is gothic. Last time we were there together, they played  Johnny Cash.

And you know me. I was wailing "They rockin' this Johnny Cash, but I sho' do wish they would put on some Earth Wind and Fire!"

My sister is a diva. I am not sure why she loves this place so much. But the food is good. And the workers are really nice.

And I think that picture is up all year long. Hmm.

Official Halloween Decorations

My coworker brings out the crazy halloween decorations and spreads them in the middle of the cubicle. There are skulls and tombstones along the window sill. The spider freaked me out the other day when I walked around the corner and saw it.

And that voodoo doll... O_o.

I always whisper to her cubicle mate Supersonic Sushi...

"I'm gonna place a bible verse or a passage of scripture here in your cubicle because your girl... your girl right here... she got some problems."

Sushi doesn't seem bothered about this. She just lowers her head and works harder.

Official Halloween Outfit and Gear

A member of management (we will call her Runner Cee) came skipping down the hall yesterday. She had on a very nice dress.

(oh my... is that blue fangernail polish??)

"Well," I said. "You're going to Happy Hour right after work, aren't you?"

She laughed. "No. This is my halloween dress."

I just looked at her. I thought she was going to pull out a witch's hat. Or smile and expose some vampire fangs.

But she didn't.

"I just wanted to wear something festive with halloween colors."

I turned to my own boss (We were standing in the door of my boss' office). "Runner Cee here is going to Happy Hour. Right after work."

LOL

She even donned the nice halloween wrist gear.

She even had nice shoes.

They were her special Halloween Shoes. *said in best Forrest Gump voice*

I noticed her watch.

This confused me. With such a fabulous Halloween outfit, she should've busted up with a Gucci watch or some expensive gold or silver watch.

No. She sported a garmin. Runner Cee is a real runner. She has to measure every step. She has to measure how fast she takes those steps.

And for that day, she wore it so she could RUN real fast...

...to Happy Hour right after work,

Ha Ha!

(Oh she is going to give me the hard side-eye after reading that).

All in fun, hon!

Thanks for posing for the pictures. :)

(Wonder what she will wear today.)

Official Halloween Song

This song is for cubicle mate Cowgirl Cre. I remember thinking "Hmm... this is a scary beat."

And I was intrigued by a special sound effect in the song. The cocking of a gun, followed by a gunshot.

Cowgirl Cre use to love this old rap song with repeated cocking guns and shots. It disturbed me something awful, but she liked it. So now, every time I hear that sound effected as a repeated part of a song, I think of her. (I know, it is odd, but it is what it is).

Anyway, that is the instrumental. The rap is too vulgar to post on my pristine blog. I don't want to hear the "bitch" and "hoe" a million times.

Only the gunshots. Thank you very much.

And Niki Minaj looks mad scary on that cover. This could be the opening tune to some odd hip hop scary movie indeed.

So that's my official Halloween blog post for today.

Be safe tonight.

Don't eat too much candy!!!

And have a good day... on purpose.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you all!

You all who celebrate.

I don't necesarrily know what celebrate means...

Me? I give out candy. That's about it. Never been to a halloween party. I got my costume just like everybody else as a child...

Speaking of costumes...

Serenity_23 sent a picture of the baby in his SCARY halloween costume.

OOOOOH! I am so scared of you, little Kayden, little skeleton boy! SOOOOO scared!

Here he is all stretched out!

Yes... that's a little more scary, Little Skeleton Boy!  I'm really scared now!

LOL!

I think it's cute!

Here's another picture:

That costume is his big brother's old costume. That lets me know that we should keep everything, ya'll.

You never know when these things come in handy!

"Little Kayden, Skeleton Baby" and "Here Comes the Bumblebee Boy"...

Next on the Baby Channel. Check your local listings.

LOL

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

Halloween Pictures

No, I don't have many... Ain't no way I'm decorating for Halloween, man.

But I have 3 pictures.

Here's a picture of the pumpkins at Whole Foods.

That's a lot of pumpkins. I have never carved a pumpkin, and I don't eat pumpkins. Well, I do have some pumpkin spice ice cream in the freezer. That was pretty good.

Getting back on subject.

My sister and I saw this over in Grant park when we walked out of the local pizzaria.

My sister hollered "What is that thang?"

I didn't know. Looked gruesome. And I was gonna take a picture of it.

Lastly, my halloween candy.

I give out that GOOD stuff. A couple of kids were upset about getting the Whoppers candy.

We in the 'hood kid. Don't get choosy, or I'll take BACK my candy... and whatever else you got in that bag...

LOL...

Happy Halloween!

Ah yes...

'Tis that time of year.

Halloween

I don't do the Halloween thing, but it's nice to see the little childrens dress up in their costumes, isn't it?

As young girls, we always wanted to be some type of Princess... My coworker Ol Mean Ass Cynthia's niece is a lovely princess indeed...

Oh, she's so cute!! So cute!!!

And then Cynt's daughter Chayse, who happens to be my "permanent house guest Kramer's Mama (the orange cat)... She wanted to be a fairy this year.

Oh... How cute. She's so cute!

Then... we have the Oppressor's some people's worse nightmare...

Little black boy dressed up as Barack Obama...

**silence**

Uh, the young bruh is clean, ain't he? Got himself a little American flag and all...

My heart jumped when I saw that picture. We've been discussing this around the lab for months. Dreams of becoming a famous rapper or a sports star will be, uh, replaced by dreams of being the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Hmm... Who would've ever thought?

**Lee raises eyebrow and fans herself with her Obama '08 Church fan **

But babes? There is one that takes the cake!!

That Original Oldgirl The LBeezy...

Went to work today as...

The Purple One!! Prince!!

LOL!!! I loved-ed it. THAT made my day!!! LOL!!

Good job, Beezy! You got that workplace spirit! (We have NO idea what that is on our job).
I hope you win the costume contest at work! I really do! LOL!
Well, just wanted you to have a look-see at some of the more interesting costumes I've seen today.

Ya'll have a safe Halloween!!!
