#19 "Portuguese Love" by Teena Marie



I love this song. But, I am not quite sure what it's about. But the beat and lyrics are great!


#18 "No One's Gonna Love You" by The SOS Band

I miss the era of big bands and groups. I like this song, but SOS band did have a span of records where the lead singer was begging after a man or not caring if she is being cheated on. I remember way back then at the age of 15 thinking... this can't be good, all this begging after a man.


#17 "Juicy Fruit" by Mtume



This song came out when I was 13 years old. I remember us discussing how the music video was to debut over the weekend. LadyTee called me on the phone and we watched it together. To our young selves, we thought they would look younger and shinier for some reasons. "They are some old folks," LadyTee said. I agreed with her. But we were still bumping that song, though. Still one of my favorites, even some 30 years later.
