Holla at Ya Boy!!!!!

Dedicated to 2nd 68. . . betcha didn't know I could do a short post, did you boy?.

I was rolling down ATL's Metropolitan Parkway, heading for the "Black People's Kroger" on the corner of Clevland and Metropolitan, when I saw this used car lot sign:

There were two brothers standing out front, clad in white t-shirts and baggy jeans, staring at me.

I wanted to ask them. . .

"Good Evening, young men! Do you have any Lexuses? If so, is it possible for me to get one at 0% interest?"

LOL!!

If I would've said that, I would've gotten my feelings smashed!

Nope! I just snapped the photo and kept it moving.

But any of you ATLiens out there....

If you find yourself in need of transportation?

Go head on and Holla at Ya Boy!!!

LOL!!

  3. The Black People's Kroger is on Cascade, over by that KFC. I remember when there used to be a ZAYRE over there!

  4. @ Dreamy and Kayla...

It was funny, and I was ready to peel out of there if they walked up on me. But if they would have, I would've asked about that Lexus! You never know. LOL!!

    @Tayari...

Miss Celie, there are a few Black people's Krogers around town. But the ORIGINAL one is DEFINITELY that one in SWATS on Cascade. I've been to the one on Columbia Drive, and then the one on the corner mentioned in the post.

I think the one on Cleveland is the Black People's Kroger because the triflement factor is VERY high in there. As a matter of fact, I drove past the place and it was so gridlocked that I ditched the idea of going in. I only wanted a bottle of milk. I would've been in line for about 15 minutes, just for one item.

However, the other 2 Krogers I've been in are very nice and the lines are fast... that makes them less trifling, lol.

And you just had to mention ZAYRE. We used to live in that place in the 70s. That was the store to shop at, that's for sure.

You are quite the historian! I forgot all about that!

  7. Hell, even I've been to the 'Black People's Kroger' in my escapades swimming thru Atlantis...

And Zayre... (the store with an asterisk for a logo... um, I wonder why) where I got my biscuit-toed boat shoes out of that big ol' bin AND my first Casio keyboard from the fake a** music section...

    Man, memories.

There's Always A Sale At Zayre!

I looked up *Zayre in interest and it reminds me of Woolworths from back in the day.
