Good Monday Morning!
And Happy Independence Day!
I tell you one thing... Yes I am glad to live in America where I know that I am free and all that. I am glad that I won't get stoned to death if I decide to throw on some booty shorts and walk up and down the street.
Yes I'm glad I got some freedom...
But doggonit, I ain't gonna lie. I am a bit more glad that I have a day off from work!
*cartwheels*
I am doing nothing today. I woke up and had a good hour of prayer, and then crawled back into bed. I am eating a bowl of shredded wheat with strawberries and almond milk right now. That may give me the 'itis, and I can go on back to sleep.
Or sit here and watch some Judge Hatchet. We will see.
LOL
I would like to go buy some yarn, but that's not going to happen. I have not left the house all weekend which is trifling. (Haven't figured out why it's trifling, but I know it is).
Aunt Flo is here. And as usual, I am like the women in the Old Testament of the bible: throw my tail off in some tent on the edge of the village, man. I just want to be quiet and very still. No noise or commotion please.
So I guess I'm not being trifling. Jury is still out on that.
I've been doing a lot of cleaning. This is a throw out and shred weekend. I may do some painting. (Yes, i will be painting the dining room and kitchen all summer long. I am super slow like that).
No grilling today. I am making roasted corn on the cob, stuffed tomatoes, okra, butter beans, field peas and whatever other veggies are lurking in the fridge. I need to fix veggies for the week, so my off day is as good as any day, right?
I have a doctor's appointment in the morning. Upper Management wanted to act STUPID and not give me the time off.
Really?
I told my boss... Listen, you go in there and tell that chick that I'm going to the doctor. I only requested the morning off. Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. If I don't get my 3 hours sick leave, I will take the whole week off.
How bout them apples?
Needless to say I got my time off. Plus the threat of me going and talking to her one-on-one would've guaranteed a bit of suspension time for me.
Glad bossman took care of all that. LadyLee is going to the doctor in the morning.
But tomorrow is tomorrow.
Today is today.
I am going to sit here and enjoy my freedom.
You do that too!
Have a Happy and Safe 4th!
At Home In the Words I write...I've missed Blogging

These days of Summer are sweet and fleeting. I've been away too long. Away
from this blog. This holy place where I live on the words I conjure.
So much goo...

Happy 4th! My schedule is very similar to yours. I may clean up and go to the store, but that is about it. I probably play online more than anything!
